In school, many students stress over grades way more than they should. Many students worry about their GPA and if they’re going to get accepted into their college of choice. Even though school is relatively important and education in very valuable, you shouldn’t sweat the small stuff. In this article, I’m going to be breaking down how to get good grades without being so stressed out. Let’s get started!
Make it a main objective to sit down and study every night for each of your classes. The time spent studying is relative to your lifestyle. In other words, there is no specific amount of time that one needs to study for. However, study as much as you can especially for your more difficult classes. If you have friends in the class, feel free to make a study group. This increases overall retention, increasing your chances of receiving a better grade. Also, find out which study method works best for you. Some people learn great with others and some people learn great on their own. Overall, keep an open mind and find out the method that works best for you.
2. Know what’s important
Many people seriously mis-prioritize their schoolwork. In other words, some student focus on things that aren’t really important like homework and participation points. Instead, focus on studying for tests and exams which are weighted a lot higher than homework and participation. In the end, this method will result in a larger increase in your overall grade. Like I said before, don’t sweat the small stuff.
If you’re still feeling stressed about school, exercise regularly or meditate every morning. Find out what activity relaxes you and takes your mind off of school work. Then, do that activity over and over again until you are fully relaxed.
In this world, there are many ways one can become financially independent and well off. However, they don’t really know the steps to get there. Some of the people we look up to will say that the way to get ahead financially is through going to college, getting a stable career, and getting promotions. However, this advice fails to cover the basics of both saving and investing. For example, if you get a good career making $100,000 per year and you spend $99,000 per year, you are not financially independent! In this article, I’m going to be breaking down the basics of becoming financially independent. Let’s get started!
1. Income and Expenses
How much money you make and spend is the first step in becoming financially independent. If you don’t earn enough income, you have to create another source of income that creates consistent cash flow. This could either be from a side hustle or from starting a business. On the other end, you have to focus on limiting your spending if you want to build wealth. The larger the spread is between income and expenses, the more money you can save and invest. This is our next topic.
2. Saving and Investing
Once you have sufficient money coming in, make it a monthly goal to save 15% of your total income. As always, save more if possible. By doing this, you give yourself the ability to invest that money back into your business or into other investments that will build up overtime like stocks, mutual funds, bonds, etc. Overtime, you’ll be able to add more and more money into these investments. By utilizing compounding interest within the markets, you’ll end up with a large sum of money in the future. Overall, this is just one of the many ways to create financial independence for you and your family.
In America, a lot of individuals don’t know how to save and invest their money properly. A lot of this is due to bad financial financial habits as well as bad financial education. Many Americans are savvy consumers and the credit card debt shows this. In this article, I’m going to show you how the average person can build the habit of saving and investing for their own financial benefit. Let’s begin!
1. Create a budget
A budget is essential for wanting to build wealth in the long run. If you don’t know how much money is coming in along with what it’s being spent on, you’ll end up finding yourself in financial turmoil in the future. To prevent this, create a budget for every given month. Make it unique to that month specifically, for you may have some expenses that will be more costly at certain times of the year. Every dollar of income during a given month knows where it’s going to be spent at the beginning of the month. Overall, what gets measured gets managed. If it can’t be measured, it can’t be measured.
2. Save to Invest
Most of the population is just saving to save. Don’t get me wrong, saving is a great thing and essential for building wealth. However, you’re going to want to invest that money and put it to work. If it just sits in a savings account, inflation is eating away at it year after year. I recommend investing that money into starting a business that can create more cash flow and income. As the business grows, you can invest more and more of the profits into more stable investments like mutual funds and bonds. In general, you should save at least 15% of your money. By doing this, you’ll reach wealth faster than most.
