According to Canon Rumors, the company is set to release two new cameras in July 2017. The first camera that may be released is the Canon EOS 6D Mark II while the second is the Canon EOS Rebel SL2.
Canon EOS 6D Mark II
Canon has confirmed some of the specifications for Canon EOS 6D Mark II. This camera which will have a taller and wider body will be Wifi compatible. It will feature Vari-Angle LCD screen making it easier to take photos in awkward positions. This camera body will also have Bluetooth. it will also feature a newly designed battery grip. Canon has said that they will take pre-orders in July for August shipment.
Canon EOS Rebel SL2
While Canon plans to accept pre-orders on the Canon EOS Rebel SL2 in July, this camera body will not ship until September, according to the rumors. Most believe that this camera will be smaller and lighter than the current model, but Canon is still being silent about this camera;s specifications. This camera which the company hopes will attract beginning photographers may be very similar to their EOS77D model. This camera may feature a dual pixel autofocus designed to allow photographers to easily track movement.
Dual Card Slots
Many photographers are anxiously awaiting the release of these two cameras before they make a buying decision. There is no word from Canon rather either camera will feature dual card slots which is a feature that many photographers would love to see. Some potential buyers have stated that if these cameras do not offer this feature, they may switch to Nikon cameras instead as they already offer dual card slots on some models.
